Bothy Weekend

There was a good turnout for the bothy working party and social weekend. Around 14 members in total attended. Quite a bit of maintenance was done on the Saturday followed by a barbecue that was ended prematurely by a couple of downpours.
Dave H turned up on Saturday night after pulling out of the Mille Alba after completing 350k.
Club member Dave Fawcett was one of only 3 riders to finish the event which was made even more difficult by some windy and rainy conditions

The Pub run on Wednesday is to Meigle
The Run on Sunday, is to Johnshaven.

Wednesday Night run to Letham

Wednesday was a damp evening and only 2 of us turned up for the pub run.
Gus and I (Dave H) headed out the main road by Kingsmuir, but were diverted around by Craichie and Bowriefauld due to an accident on the road to Letham. Went to the Commercial Inn and returned home in light rain the usual way as the road was now re opened.

Sunday Run to Clova 3rd June 2012

Sunday Run to Clova
I slept in after doing the Snowroads Audax on the Saturday so I drove up to Dykehead and cycled up to Clova Hotel from there. Was having a coffee on the terrace when the rest of the crew turned up having cycled round Prosen first. Had lunch with  Gus, Keith, Ron, and Ian then headed back down the glen with a tailwind

Wednesday Night Run to Finavon

A few of us left Forfar along with visitor Colin Smith who had cycled over from somewhere around Lunan Bay to join us. We took the usual summer route out the Aberlemno road and over Finavon Hill on the way there.
Had a good evening and reckon we saw Ally McCoist in the bar, but he didn't recognise us. Rour home by Justinhaugh and Battledykes.
